84 Phoenix
Bringing an Inspirational True Story to Life Across Multiple Channels
Brad Little authored Fourth Down, Forever to Go to share the life of his late father Ken Little with the world—and he founded the nonprofit organization 84 Phoenix to support other individuals like him, including teachers, mentors, coaches and community leaders.
In the lead-up to publication, Brad reached out to Bailey to help realize his vision for the 84 Phoenix brand—and to create a framework to support the development of his father’s story across a variety of mediums, including the written biography as well as documentary and feature film adaptations.
Building Brand Strategy to Help a Phoenix Rise
Bailey began by taking a critical look at the foundations of the 84 Phoenix brand. We partnered closely with Brad and his team to create actionable positioning materials, including guiding values for individuals within the organization, as well as mission and purpose statements to clearly define near- and long-term success.
After reviewing Brad’s complete manuscript, the Bailey strategy and video teams then collaborated to create a comprehensive pitch deck to optimally position the Fourth Down, Forever to Go story for potential investors. This document includes a log-line summary that captures the heart and soul of the story, as well as descriptions of key characters and events, information about the creative team, quotes, bios and more.
One Story. Many Mediums.
The Bailey design team brought the pitch deck to life through a simple and iconic visual system inspired by the inherent heart and drama of a journey that has impacted countless lives. The team then adapted the physical pitch deck into a robust and interactive web-based experience that truly brings Ken’s story to life.
Finally, Bailey designed the iconic cover of the book, highlighting a climactic moment of tension before the game of Ken’s career. Copies of Fourth Down, Forever to Go: The Improbable Biography of Ken Little are available at retailers now.
